My entry for :iconrendragonclaw:'s "What Kaiju Are You Contest"
----

Mankind has faced some truly alien events during its existence. But nothing has ever compared to M-Day.

The Start--

It came from space- an immense meteor, formed of some unknown substance, appeared out of nowhere, hurtling towards the planet. Nobody had seen it coming- and nobody could do anything about it. The meteor slammed into the atmosphere, and tore its way down. But it didn't destroy the planet when it hit- no, it wasn't going to let us go that easily. The meteor spread apart, like a giant parachute unfurling.

That's when it landed in the middle of Beijing. Thousands died in an instant.

A team of scientists was dispatched to study it. The meteor wasn't metal or rock- that much was certain. It wasn't radioactive- and it seemed entirely sterile. The only odd thing was its near-liquid state- it should have boiled off in the atmosphere. But that didn't matter. Relieved, word was sent out that this thing was safe.
That couldn't have been more wrong.

Suddenly, the substance moved- rose up into a hideous mountain of faceted slime. And then it opened its eyes- eyes full of hatred, that promised one thing- extinction.

Lashing out with massive pseudopods, the monster tore through the city. A military response was initiated immediately- but when the missiles came, they- the didn't hit. They were right on target, but they just- phased through it. Like it didn't exist. Well, this thing certainly did exist- it obliterated the military units responsible for the (completely ineffective) attack, and went right back to destroying Beijing.

And then the monster moved on to the next city. And the next.

Each time the amorphous blob showed up, the military came at it. Nothing worked. Experimental cryo-bomb? Froze the city, not the kaiju. Lasers? Right pissed it off, but that's it. Nukes? Nobody dared to use them.

Despair--

Finally, the kaiju- named MHeHTES (Meh-Tesz)- met another kaiju. Combat was swift. The other kaiju- a giant crab-like being called Guldo- tore MHeHTES to shreds. Bits of purple ooze splattered the whole city. Guldo gave a roar of victory- which cut off to a confused squeak. The scraps of ooze were moving- MHeHTES was reforming. Rising up again, the ooze stared down Guldo, hatred in its eyes.

This time, combat was even swifter, and more vicious. MHeHTES tore Guldo's arms off, stabbed it through the torso, and sprouted a set of vicious fangs. Sinking its teeth into the crab kaiju, MHeHTES injected its toxin- Guldo melted into a meat-sludge coated shell. The only reason why it'd won the first round was because MHeHTES wasn't used to fighting Earth Kaiju. As soon as the first round was over, MHeHTES was ready. The venom-eaten remains of Guldo proved that.

At this point it was clear; nothing could stop MHeHTES. It would continue until it had killed every last human on Earth.

Hope--

Desperate, humanity's best took a drastic risk, and enlisted two siblings with exceptional neural strength. Using a neural-relay hooked up to a transmitter dish, the two were to read the monster's mind, and find out how to stop it. The connection was agony for the two; they only managed to get out two recognizable phrases.

"Promise... kill every you... for what you did," was one. The other, "Took them... hid them from me... get them back... I cannot find... them..."

Some things could be figured out; MHeHTES thought of humanity as a single being- that's what it meant by 'every you'. And clearly, it blamed us for something. But who was 'them'? What did MHeHTES mean by 'hid them from me'? Nobody knew, but it was their best lead.

Acting as quickly as possible, a search was sent out for something, ANYTHING extraterrestrial that this thing could have meant. And then, they found it.

An illegal operation had gotten ahold of a similar substance to the kaiju's body, and were developing a variety of equipment based off it. The military swiftly put a stop to that, and located the 'main supply'; a massive tank of the stuff that shivered when approached.

Reunion--

The ooze was released during the middle of one of MHeHTES's regular attacks. As MHeHTES had initially, the other ooze- a deep blue instead of MHeHTES's purple- rose up into a mountain, and opened its eyes. And it let out a warble, the noise reverberating from the entirety of its body. MHeHTES paused, and turned. It blinked.

The blue ooze- nicknamed MRoTRYF- flowed forwards, right up to MHeHTES. The purple terror shook, its body rippling. Later, people realized that it was crying- crying with relief. MRoTRYF held out its pseudopods, and the two embraced- the pair of them sobbing like old lovers. Thinking back

The duo swirled together, and erupted upwards- a column of blue and purple reaching out to space. Finally, the shaft detached from the ground, and the two were gone, never to return to Earth.

In the end, it had been proven that only one thing could stop MHeHTES's wrath: Love.

This was quite the crazy design, blobs are an utter pain in the ass to make distinctive but I think you hit the nail right on the head. The story also is rather curious, taking a different rout as you creatively used your rolls to make a flowing narrative.
